Spox: UN working hard to remove barriers for Russian food exports
U.N./GENEVA, Sep 8 (PRIME) -- The U.N. is working diligently to remove obstacles to Russia's food and fertilizer exports to the global markets, spokesman for the secretary-general Stephane Dujarric said late on Wednesday.
The official added that the part of the grain deal envisaging promotion of Russian food exports is the most complex because it depends on the efforts not only of governments, but of private businesses.
Russia's special representation in Geneva said that Russia's representatives discussed the key aspects of the grain deal fulfillment, including insurance and logistics of Russian food and fertilizer exports, with U.N. officials from Wednesday until Friday.
The July 22 grain deal opened safe corridors to export Ukrainian grain and promote Russian food and fertilizers exports.
